Andiamo a Praga. Intercettiamo per caso questa meta. Non conosco per niente Praga così cercando in rete scopro un artista contemporaneo davvero interessante. Irriverente. Incontra decisamente i nostri gusti!
Si tratta di David Černý.
Per tutta la città ci sono i suoi monumenti. Il primo che abbiamo visto è stato Saint Wenceslas che si trova nel Palazzo Lucerna a Václavské Náměstí. Ha preso il monumento più importante e rappresentativo di Praga, la statua di San Venceslao che si trova nell'omonima piazza, questo qui:

We intercept this destination by chance. I don't know Prague at all, so I found a really interesting contemporary artist on the internet. Irreverent. It definitely meets our tastes!
It is David Černý.
Throughout the city there are its monuments. The first we saw was Saint Wenceslas, which is located in the Lucerna Palace in Václavské Náměstí. It has taken the most important and representative monument of Prague, the statue of Saint Wenceslas which is located in the homonymous square, this here:

Un omaggio a Franz Kafka a Národní Třida. La statua è divisa in 42 strati mobili che formano il volto dello scrittore ed è ispirata a La Metamorfosi. Titolo divertentissimo: Metalmorphosis.

Ci avviciniamo alla Cappella di Betlemme (Betlémské náměstí) cercando il terzo monumento, a mio parere il più divertente. Si tratta di Sigmund Freud appeso su una trave. Eccolo che spunta dietro un angolo. Una volta avvicinata, noto che ha una mano in tasca. Ci guarda.
We come near the Bethlehem Chapel (Betlémské náměstí) looking for the third monument, in my opinion the funniest. This is Sigmund Freud hanging on a beam. Here it is peeking around a corner. Once near, I notice that he has a hand in his pocket. He looks at us.

Il giorno dopo eravamo in un negozio di Lego a Praga in attesa di guardare la mostra allestita al piano di sotto, quando una commessa indicando la mia borsa di Totoro mi dice che a Praga c'è un bar ispirato a Miyazaki e che dovevo andarci assolutamente. Così ha fatto uno scontrino vuoto e mi ha scritto l'indirizzo.
Al Momoichi Bistro c'è un'atmosfera calma e rilassata, il locale non ha tante decorazioni, in perfetto stile giapponese. In un angolo ci sono delle mensole con i peluche bianchi di Chibi-Totoro (non credo abbia un nome il personaggio) assieme a dei té da poter acquistare. Ha un poster dalla grafica minimale, un rifacimento in low poly del manifesto del film.
Io ho preso un cappuccino matcha gustosissimo che vorrei si materializzasse qui in questo momento.

At Momoichi Bistro there is a calm and relaxed atmosphere, the place does not have many decorations, in perfect Japanese style. I had a very tasty matcha cappuccino that I would like to materialize here now.
Avevo letto online che a Žižkov, la torre della televisione di Praga, tanto alta quanto brutta, c'erano dei bambini che gattonavano con un codice a barre impresso sui loro volti. Purtroppo li avevano rimossi per una ristrutturazione, così scopro che ci sono tre esemplari esposti all'isola di Kampa in cui c'è anche il museo di Kafka che ospita un'altra installazione di Černý.
Eccoli che spuntano da un angolo, sono davvero inquietanti, il codice a barre è impresso con forza. La critica che fa l'autore è sicuramente verso le modificazioni genetiche sempre più rilevanti, volte a creare degli uomini più forti ma tutti uguali.

I red online that in Žižkov, the television tower in Prague, as tall as ugly, there were children crawling with a bar code stamped on their faces. La tappa successiva del mio viaggio è il Museo di Kafka. Subito noto una grande calca di gente intenta ad ammirare la "scultura che piscia". Aspetto che la folla si diradi un pochino per scattare le mie fotografie.
Due uomini nudi, uno di fronte all'altro, si guardano e urinano in una piccola piscina a forma di Repubblica Ceca. I loro bacini ruotano e scrivono col getto d'acqua delle cose. Infatti se si invia un SMS ad un determinato numero di telefono, loro scriveranno nell'acqua il contenuto del messaggio.

L'ultima scultura da visitare si trova alla FUTURA gallery, una galleria d'arte contemporanea. L'ingresso è gratuito e ci siamo goduti varie installazioni nel tragitto per raggiungere le sculture di Černý.
Scorgo da una porta a vetro le grosse gambe, esco. La scala invita a salire e a scorgere l'interno dell'ano artistico delle due sculture. Ancora una volta la denuncia contro il sistema politico Ceco emerge.
All'interno delle sculture c'è un video di due figure politiche che si imboccano a vicenda, come sottofondo musicale "We are the champions" dei Queen.
The last sculpture to visit is at the FUTURA gallery, a contemporary art gallery. Entry is free and we enjoyed various installations en route to get to Černý's sculptures.
I see the big legs from a glass door, I go out. The staircase invites you to go up and see the inside of the artistic anus of the two sculptures. Once again the complaint against the Czech political system emerges.
Inside the sculptures there is a video of two political figures who take each other, as a background music "We are the champions" by Queen.
